All injuries disrupt lives.
Anyone who has ever been injured in any kind of accident knows that he or she will invariably experience pain, discomfort, maybe lose time from work, wages and may have to undergo some period of rehabilitation or therapy.
Injured victims want to get healthy and get back to a normal life. Tragically, however, for some people, this is impossible and will never happen. A person who has suffered a catastrophic injury will never fully heal or recover from their physical and emotional injuries and will never regain the normalcy they enjoyed in their lives before suffering the catastrophic injury. Catastrophic injuries are serious, permanent, devastating. A catastrophic injury typically causes life-altering changes, deep and devastating emotional trauma, permanent physical disability, and an inability to work or enjoy one’s quality of life.
